About Isheeka Edwards, MD
Dr. Isheeka Edwards obtained her medical degree with honors from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey, an affiliate of Rutgers University. Dr. Edwards is board certified in Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography and by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also a registered physician in Vascular Interpretation. She has published and presented her research works at several cardiovascular scientific meetings. In addition to this, Dr. Edwards is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Medical Association. Dr. Edwards has a special interest in preventive cardiology, management of hypertension, high cholesterol, chest pain/angina/coronary artery disease, valve diseases, peripheral valvular disease and atrial fibrillation. Dr. Edwards practices a holistic approach to medicine addressing the whole person and encouraging healthy lifestyles.
